Acquiring culture

Post by dizzy on Sat Jul 13, 2013 6:25 pm

When a new, rich family moved into town, Susie was impressed w/them. They had a beautiful home full of beautiful works of art, music and beautiful gardens. It wasn't long B4 Susie was trying to better herself by learning what she could. And when she heard that they were looking for a new maid, even though she had no experience, she applied.

The lady of the house, felt sympathetic to her desires, so decided that she'd give her a chance. So Susie went to work thrilled w/her chance. She was always asking questions, and slowly but surely she was becoming more cultured.

One hot day, the AC broke. Susie and the boss lady were talking about how hot it was, and Susie says, I'm so hot the sweats just a rolling down my back. Feeling this was a perfect teaching opportunity, the boss lady says, Susie, that's not real lady like. Instead, try saying, I'm so hot I'm perspiring.

The next day, the AC was still broken and it was even hotter! So, Susie, trying hard to remember what she had learned tells the boss lady. I'm so hot I'm just Presbyterian!
