Anything Homemade Swap

Ok, I'm starting this early this time. Last year I wanted to do a homemade swap for Christmas, but everyone complained that I waited too long before starting it. Here's how it'll work, everyone who is interested will respond to this post stating your interest. I will pair everyone up with a swap partner. You will be given time to get to know your partner, ie; likes, dislikes, favorite color, home decor, hobbies, etc. Then you will make a homemade gift to exchange. This is a great way to get to know others on here better. Depending on the response I get I will give more details at a later date. We did this once before and it turned out well. My swap partner had been Amybyrd and it was such a joy getting to know her better. Amy had many physical problems that required a kidney transplant. We heard from her for a short period of time after the transplant, but she wasn't doing well. I don't know if she went home to be with the Lord, or just hasn't been able to be back online, but I do know that the swap afforded me the opportunity to get to know her much better than just posting on the forum. I hope we get a lot of interest in this swap because I believe it draws us closer and it gives us an opportunity to perhaps learn a new craft.

I have been thinking of Amybyrd and wondering how she is doing, I wish she could check in.

I wish I had kept her mailing address from the swap. I hate not having a way to contact faithful members who all of a sudden stop posting.

It's a shame that we have no way of contacting her, I hope she is doing OK.

Great! It's exciting to see the quick responses. So far there's 3 of us and I just posted it. Hope that bodes well for the swap.

When do you need to know by? I'm interested but not sure if I can do it or not.

Depends on if we have enough people interested in it, but I would like to do the actual swap sometime in December.

Don't bow out yet. I'm hoping Rohn or Chad will join us, maybe I can get Joe to join in too.

I'll participate in this as long as I am teamed up with another guy. I just wouldn't feel comfortable being teamed up with a gal.

Joe wants to sign up. Wonder if any of the other guys would like to participate. I'm going to start another thread with the rules for the swap. I'll basically be following the swap rules from Homesteading Today.

where are all the guys?? seems Rohn and I are the two here most, followed closely by Harvey Birdman, the rest just pop in for a few posts here and there, if at all.

Joe's been trying, but with me not up to full capacity he's been having to do alot of the things I use to do. He is going to be doing the swap though and is planning on doing the monthly chats. I hope Harvey Birdman joins the swap.
