We're in severe drought conditions, have been since moving to Georgia. Fortunately we have a great well. We have water going on all areas of the garden set up on timers. Seems to work well for us.

yup drought conditions here, mulch, three sisters and other companion plantings, along with the water hose are keeping the garden productive. Times like this make me thankful for that medium heavy clay loam. I still can't get grass to grow, but the veggies are doing good

as Christmas nears take a few moments to reflect on how your gardens were affected by the drought...what are you going to do different this year? Locally we are still 12" behind on precipitation for the year, so my plan is to add more humus, and mulch heavily in the main garden, but the secondary plots will be done differently. Dust mulching and widely spaced plants will be tried. Anyone else looking to next years garden?
