Hello from SW Virginia Empty Hello from SW Virginia

Post by Quilter Karen on Sun Apr 15, 2012 8:32 am

Hello from Virginia! I'm a born again Catholic Christian living in the SW mountains of Virginia with my husband of over 40 years and our just-turned-16 year old adopted son. We're homeschoolers, preppers, and try to be as self-sufficient as we can. We have one married daughter and great son-in-law that we think of as our son too.

I was a paralegal for 20 years and foster parents for special needs children. Prior to that my husband and I owned several Christian businesses including a Christian bookstore, a Christian rock promotion company, a local children's Christian cable series, and a Christian rock FM radio show. Currently we're enjoying retirement, although I think we're busier now than we were working, although life has slowed down over the past few years due to health issues. I am in a wheelchair and my husband uses platform cane, but we keep chugging along! So happy to be invited here and meet you great folks. Very Happy
