We have a major tick problem here. Does anyone have a good way to rid a property (outside and inside) of a tick infestation?? No, seriously this place has so many ticks it ain't funny. We've had a very mild winter, and we are already finding them on us and the dogs. My wife just found two crawling up the wall inside the house!! and it's only April 9th!!

I will even consider chemical pesticides if results are guaranteed!!! GRRRRRR Mad Mad Mad

(note I am wanting to treat the grounds and house, pets are covered)

Oh my, you have a battle on your hands. I found a website where many people have gone through this, was interesting and helpful but I can't post the link, since I am a new member.
It looks like you may not have a choice in using chemicals, unfortunately. You may have to shave your dogs til things are under control.. Neutral

hmm, thanks Sonshine, I'll have to see what I can find

Yes it is a battle, Miss Lillia last year they were semi-controlled by the wild Turkey and bird population. However a group (three maybe four) Great Horned Owls cleared out the Turkeys so I guess this year I am on my own, until the Turkeys return.

The only thing that helped us when we were having ticks that bad was having *a lot* of chickens. I know that isn't feasible to be a solution for everyone, but it truly did help us.

I have them really bad too. I mix seven dust and DE and dust round my porch. Hubby and son already found a seed tick bed. I think hubby got about 20 off of him the other day. I am seriously thinking about piling the leaves and burning them.

Sprinkle DTE (diotemacious earth) around the perimeters of the house. It's safe for pets and humans but will kill bugs.
