I used to make lye soap about 20 years ago, and enjoyed it, but life got busy and I haven't done it for a while. I am wanting to start making my own soap again, but am having a problem finding any lye. Is it only on the internet now? If so, where do you buy your lye? Thanks!

We got red devil online, but you may be able to find it at a hardware store.

I just learned that I can't buy lye in Oregon because of a law about ingredients in meth. So, I guess I'll be looking online.
