Made our first mozerralla today and it is wonderful. Since Monday is my bread making day, I decided to make some pizza dough, so we had homemade pizza, complete with the cheese. Ty absolutely gobbled it up, and Joe ate his fair share too. Smile

I ate fresh Mozerralla that they put basil and procuttio in. They made the cheese flat and wrapped the ham and basil in the middle. I always wanted to make my own. Hubby said we were going to get a milk cow eventually.

What a made is called 30 minute mozerrella. It really did only take 30 minutes too. I like the idea of adding herbs to it. I may have to try that the next time. What's left from what we made today I'm going to bread and deep fry. Ty loves cheese sticks.

Sounds yummy! I've wanted to learn to make cheese for a while, but we will never have an animal to milk and I can't see paying the high prices we pay for milk, to make it myself.

I was surprised at how easy it was, of course, I choose this particular recipe because it seemed like one of the easiest ones to learn on. Got the whole family involved in the process. What's left of it I'm planning on breading it using some Italian bread crumbs I make and deep frying it. Ty loves cheese sticks, so I'm hoping he'll like these too.

Before they add the herbs and ham they rolled it out and put it in the middle. They rolled it in a log so it looked like a pinwheel when you cut it. Do you have a web site for the 30 min cheese

We have a book on cheesemaking that I got the recipe from, but I bought the book from this site and they have it on the site.
