The Lesser of Two Evils

Post by 7dawn on Tue Nov 09, 2010 1:55 am

Suspect When are people going to wake up and quit voting in the lesser of two evils? I know the mid-term elections were last week, but honestly, I am not encouraged. The only candidate I am happy that got elected was Rand Paul.

I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings but voting in a republican is not a whole lot better than voting in a democrat. It just takes them a little longer to decimate the people than it does the democrats.

Nothing will get done, Obama will be reelected in 2012 and Lord help us!

We have never had a lot of money. I just sat down with our bills trying to figure out where we were at. It is not a pretty picture. We seem to have less than what we did 2-3 years ago. Everytime I walk into a grocery store I spend a minimum of 100 dollars and that is just for the basics, no extras. I went to one of the nurseries not far from my home and herbs that used to cost 1.97-2.00 are up to almost 4 dollars now...I haven't even been clothes or shoe shopping lately. How in the world are we going to make it through a second term of Obama and the 2 party system that runs our country, and in my opinion, is pretty much a party of one????

If enough Christians would stand up and quit voting for the status quo system we might be able, with prayer, to turn this nation around. Okay, done with my rant....

I agree with you on most of what you say, but I am pretty glad that Mark Rubio got elected. Here's my take on what's going to happen. The Feds are buying up our debt, which is going to further deflate the dollar. Remember, in the Bible it talks about a loaf of bread costing a days wages? I don't think we'll be waiting much longer to see that part of end time prophecies come into being.

I'm not sure if Obama will be a two term President of not. Not even sure it matters any more. We are so far into the course that has been started that I really believe there is no way out of it now.

Remember Iceland? I think it was Iceland, that had devalued their money to such an extent that it got ridiculous.

All I've got to say is be prepared, spiritually, physically and in every way you can think of.

I am not sure about Rubio. He talks a good talk but like David, there is something that doesn't feel right about him. Time will tell. He is better than the other two candidates though.

We got stuck with Perry again...ugh...

I like Rubio, but like you said, time will tell.

Re: The Lesser of Two Evils

I just read the title to this post and it reminded me of something our pastor said once about voting for the lesser of two evils. He said "Never vote for the lesser of two evils. We should never vote for evil no matter what."

The thing is there are times that we have to choose between two candidates or not vote at all.

I'm with you Dawn about voting party. Our so called leaders have gotten so corrupt. I don't know if there are any in Washington, D.C. that are truthful and honest. I feel that 99.9 percent of the congressmen/women have their hands in someone else's pocket so as to fill their own pockets. We the people are of no importance to them. That's a sad state of affairs for our country.

JUst my .02 cents worth.

I agree. I no longer vote for party, but try to research all candidates and vote accordingly. I voted 3rd pary last presidential election and everyone told me I was throwing away my vote. To me, it was the right thing to do, instead of voting for someone I thought would do more damage to our country.

Throwing a vote away is voting for the status quo to me. Keeps us in the same position with the same people in office trying to sell our country and souls to the devil whether we like it or not. If enough people "throw away" their vote, so to speak, then we might see some changes for the better.

DING, DING, DING!!! Give the little lady a cupie doll. Dawn, you hit it on the head. The way I see it, more and more people are starting to wake up to that truth, there may be hope for us yet.

I hope so...problem is that those that are finally seeing are still voting party lines. It is just annoying..

Not really, more and more are starting to vote outside of the two party system.

Re: The Lesser of Two Evils

Very interesting discussion. We do need people with some morals to run for office. People who are Christian and won't sell out no matter what is offered to them. I don't know if there are any of those left but I pray every day that we will fall on our knees, repent of our sins and cry out so God will hear us and save our nation. If the Christians don't start crying out to God the U.S.A. is sunk.

I fully believe if we change our ways and truly follow what God has laid out for us to do he will send us a leader that will lead this country in the way we should go. Not in a way to try to please other countries in the world. That's (I feel) is what is going on now.

I remember as a child giving another child something I had because that child said if I would that he/she would be my friend. But after they got whatever it was they wanted they trotted off to play with their already friends and left me standing heartbroken. That is the way I see our nation today. Giving to other countries so they'll be our friends but when they get what they want...It's so long sucker to the United States.

We need a president that loves the country enough that he would die for it. We don't have that now. We need a congress that loves this country enough to die for it but we don't have that now either.

Dawn I with you on the cost of living. I want to tear up our whole yard and plant it this year but William doesn't go for it. Every time I go to the grocery store or we have to buy gasoline it cost more.

We really need some elected officials with morals and a backbone!

Re: The Lesser of Two Evils

Post by 7dawn on Sun May 01, 2011 12:12 pm

If Ron Paul runs again I am voting for him. I do not think that America will ever be what she was. The stage is being set. I believe we are seeing the beginnings of the Tribulation if we are not already within it's midst, not far in, but in.

The question is...As Christians do we want to delay it or do we want to allow God to do what He has set forth? America will not be a major player in the End Times. I agree with Katrina on that. I do believe America has played her part and it is time for things to move forward. I am not entirely comfortable with it, nor am I entirely ready for it. As I watch the turmoil in the Middle East and the lack of real coverage, even with Fox news, it makes me believe there are things going on that they do not want us to know about. It doesn't really matter that it is rather obvious...They still think we are stupid.

Now that I have rambled on and it is late, I will stop with my confusing post...lol

I wish Rand Paul was runnng, but he won't run against his Dad. I actually have been following Herman Cain and like what I see so far.

Dawn, I don't think we can delay God's time table, but even so, we still need to live as if we have the rest of our lives here and so, we continue what we have been doing, except it wouldn't hurt for all Christians to search themselves and make sure we're doing all we can to further God's kingdom.

I agree, Katrina. I do not think we should stop what we are doing. God does say to be prepared.

With the death of Bin Laden I worry about Obama getting re-elected. I was worried about it happening before, but I have a feeling that we are in for another 4 years of him.

I also like Herman Cain, but I like Ron Paul better.
