noodle question Empty noodle question

Post by amybyrd21 Wed Dec 30, 2009 9:19 am

I got one of those hand crank pasta machines for Christmas. It has a wide noodle and a really thin noodle attachement to it. Does any one have a good recipe for noodles that dry good. The egg noodle recipe that comes with it seems to take forever to dry and I havent tried the one with water yet.

I hope someone responds to this because after the New Year I want to try making some home made noodles too. Smile

My mom got me a pasta machine and I told her I wanted the hand crank kind that doesnt use electricity. There are recipes in the book but I hop there are better ones out there. Welsey thinks it is a playdough machine so I have to hide it from him or I will have playdought noodles. lol

We got a manual one sometime last year, but I haven't tried it yet. This year I got a hand cranked food processor. I didn't even know such a thing existed. Smile I also got 4 of the fox fire books. I LOVE them!

Try food network for noodle recipes. Quite a few of the chefs have simple pasta recipes. I have never tried to make them, but have thought about it. I have the noodle attachment on my kitchen aid. Unfortunately, with David being diabetic, noodles are going to be lacking in our diet. So sad... Sad
