Becky's Intro
Hi All!
I'm Becky and I live in Washington State. We've got 3 adult kids and 8 grands - one of which lives with me. Tyler is 6, and I homeschool him. We have 3 dogs, a pet rabbit, 10 chickens and 3 goats. I'm getting another doe in a few weeks - as soon as we're sure she's bred. I can hardly wait - she's a great milker, so this fall I'll have my own source of goat milk!
I'm a Certified Herbalist, but am not doing it as a business because I just don't have the time. We're putting in a pretty big veggie garden, and hope to start an herb garden as well. I'm slowly switching us over to a traditional diet by loosely following Nourishing Traditions, and I'm just starting to learn about foraging local plants for food and medicine. Between gardening, foraging and raising our own meat, milk and eggs, I hope to become about 90% self-sufficient with our food.
If and when I get any free time, I enjoy making soap, goofing off on the computer, riding my motorcycle and camping. Free time is pretty hard to come by though! lol
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this forum. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here.

Re: Becky's Intro
Hi Becky, and welcome.
I'm glad you decided to join our growing family here. I also hope that you can share knowledge and hopefully learn even more wonderful things through our group.
I look forward to getting to know you better also.
